To assign language activities, select the + new activity button on the teacher dashboard page.
After clicking the button, you’ll proceed to step 1 of the assignment process, where you’ll need to select your class, the section of the resource, and a pre-set activity. You can preview the questions using the Preview activity button.
In step 2, you can set a due date for the activity or choose to skip this step.
Finally, in Step 3, you’ll review the activity and have two choices: Publish and Save as draft. Selecting Publish initiates the activity as ‘Live’ and prompts a box with a link to the activity, which you can then send to students. Selecting Save as draft saves the activity as a ‘Draft’, and you can later make it ‘Live’ by choosing the respective option from the menu.
When you publish an activity, the assessment appears automatically on your students’ dashboards.
Students can also access the assessment by using the URL link sent by their teacher. A URL link is automatically generated when a teacher assigns a new activity. This link can be sent to students in the class the activity has been assigned to. A student can access an assessment by logging into their Cambridge GO account and inputting the link into the URL bar. This will take them directly to the specific activity.
As a teacher, you can copy the link to your clipboard after publishing by selecting the menu on the teacher dashboard next to the activity in question and selecting Copy link to share.
